Hospital Voluntary Work

I am due to start voluntary work at my local hospital (not hospital wards, I would find that too stressful).

I was asked what Department I would like to work in and have requested Endocrinology; I have hypothyroidism and my daughter is a Type 1 diabetic.

Could be interesting. Am I likely to influence the Consultants - I think not.

I'm sure you will be a great asset, and actually help the patients - if only to lend a sympathetic ear to start with. From acorns grow..... hugs Jane :D

Sounds interesting - you can be an undercover agent :) Will be interesting to hear what you make of it. Xx

Well done Number1 for choosing to volunteer and help others.

It is sure to be very interesting and will boost your own spirits being like like-minded people.

I am guessing that the time will pass very quickly in so busy a place. Good luck to you, but remember to pace yourself so that your are not too tired afterwards.

That sounds fascinating. What will your voluntary work involve?
