Hi everyone. I was diagnosed in 2018 with diverticulitis l have had a few niggles since but nothing major. Over the last few weeks l have been getting lots of niggles as well as flatulence and burping. My question is how many of you get your flare ups high in your stomach radiating to your back. My first flare was high up. I have been constipated recently so I'm taking cosmocol. I dont have a temp. I'm going to try and ride it through and today will just drink water. Any advice please

I've had this since 2011.When I ave an attack I get alternating dihorrea and or constipation.

I get pain under my ribs, and down the left and right hand side of my stomach.

I usually get prescribed metronidazole, and it it usually takes 2 weeks to clear up.

I've tried silicogel to get rid of pains myself, sometimes it works .

I understand its a very wearing condition and some people don't really understand it.

Hope this helps.

Is your pain centered in your lower left bowel area? If so, that is most like a diverticulitis attack. My husband suffers with them and has to go on strong antibiotics to kill the infection. He has never mentioned any pain in his back. Good luck, get it checked before it gets really sore.
