Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

For the last 6 months or so I’ve had urgency, soft sticky stools and incomplete evacuation. I went on holiday a couple of weeks ago and on the return day I took an immodium for the journey home just so I didn’t have to worry about needing the toilet on the coach and on the plane. As usual I didn’t go again for a couple of days then when I did it was normal firm stool and now 2 weeks later I’m still ok hubby said it was the immodium but surely the affects don’t last this long? I’m really happy at the moment but still a bit worried it will start again anyone have any ideas what might be going on? Thanks.

I think how you react to loperamide (Imodium) is probably different for each of us. If I take more than one loperamide, say maybe on two consecutive days, I can still feel the effects up to a week later. On holiday recently, in an air b and b with a shared bathroom, I took an 'instant' each morning, and this normalised everything for the whole week, it was then another week for me to get back to my 'normal', but I don't know if that would work for others
