I have had ibs for many years, for last few years it has got worse pain on left of navel 3 inches away. This time constant pain there. Attack in March hospital ct bloods no infection thought diverticulitis but no but many pouches. All was clear. Why i am confused is that I am on a fb group for it and was told the pain is my stomach. Very nice admin lady but the pain is so low. Can acid from stomach cause this, it feels like ibs not acid feels colickyWish I could add a picture here to explain better

Hi bourne62, sorry that you are going through this. Having many pouches can cause pain, often on the left side, according to online information about diverticular disease. Apparently there can be pain without the inflammation of diverticulitis.

I have diverticular disease and I sometimes get pain on the right side (which can also happen). I find. paracetamol helps
