This seems to be getting worse, seems to be sharp wind pressure on exactly the 'right' place so it's impossible to ignore, it's driving me to distraction, lying down doesn't help. It's usually helped to pass with meal (not snack), followed by horrible ache due to the trauma.
Last exchange with my GP was 'sorry I can't hep you any more, over to pain management'. Wife thinks it must be something sinister but I keep having (presumably negative, or I'd know) stool tests for that.
So how do folk deal with extreme pain? I just started with a therapist and reading stuff about pain not being reliable indicator of tissue damage (which of course you don't have in IBS).
It doesn't even notice paracetamol. It seriously messes with my sleep, averaging less than 5h/night, not in a great place.

Hi XDjames, did the GP not refer you for another colonoscopy? Have you got diverticular disease?
If you feel up to it I would insist on a scope. . It could be a lot of pouches or polyps. You will know there’s not much they can do for the former, but they can remove the latter.
I would ask for further investigation such as a colonoscopy and an MRI of your bowel. I had these 4+ months ago due to weight loss without trying to lose weight which im still waiting on results for.
