IBS pand stomach pain

Hi I have suffered with IBS for a long time but recently have started getting a dull pain on my right side of abdomen it more prevalent in the morning after lying down all night has anybody else had this also I get dull aching in my Ribcage and it's tender to touch not sure if this is connected to my IBS as I suffer with costchondritis but it's a worry went to A&E last week to get it checked they did some tests but we're happy everything came back ok they are going to organise a scan for my abdomen but when I get that who knows any help with this would be appreciated.

Good morning.Yes Steve l have been having this pain for some time now. I ended up in hospital in Dec 2023. Thinking it was appendicitis . Its a long story but I shall cut to the end result which was a diagnosis of a condition called Epiploic

Appendagitis. A very rare thing ( or under diagnosed) it is a self limiting condition so does improve. However l still have a dull sensation in that area and l am under a gastroenterologist who l am seeing again soon..

Hope your scan gives you some reassurance.

Thanks hazel for that yeah hopefully get some answers was told I had a grumbling appendix years ago but was concerned it is appendix pain will wait and see what they say.

I have the same had an ultrasound and was diagnosed with multiple gallstones now awaiting a referral for a gallbladder removal.

Hi. I have recently started to suffer with right sided stomach pain. I had my gallbladder removed so it's not that. I am waiting for an appointment for an ultrasound scan on my abdomen. I did wonder too if it was my appendix.
