Yes, I do. But I've had a long standing lower back problem since 1997. I have never had a firm diagnosis, as doctors have said "It's just a bit of wear and tear", or "it's not a slipped(herniated) disk. But I have a twisted pelvis and some scoliosis, and one leg longer than the other by more than an inch, though that never prevents me from doing all the physical things I need to do.

But often in the morning after I have got up and get going, and just before a bowel movement, I have had tingling in my lower back and groin area which has ended up as a weird numb-ish feeling in my left upper thigh. The way I've found to relieve it is to squat down on the ground, or to sit on my knees/legs Japanese style with a fan heater blowing on my lower back.

As soon as I go #2. that disappears. It's been going on for a long time, at least 4 years now. I am okay once I start to get on with the day. I don't know how it links with my IBS, or if it's a separate thing, but a bowel movement always helps it.

Tingling/ pins and needles around upper thighs and groin area, I also have numbness around the anus and at times different sensations ( itchy, sore, pins n needles around anal area) I just had a 2nd MRI due to damage to discs and old fractures ( degenerative skeletal disease) and the consultant was worried about Cauda Equina? As I have involuntary bowel evacuation as well as bladder, I just thought it was part of the Diverticulitis flare up or the ibs, now waiting for an operation but don't know when. Apparently some of the symptoms of Cauda Equine but it's not?

Yes. Mostly in my right leg but I think it's just a Coincidence that I also have ibs and it's not linked. Its probably linked to my c.F s. Also itchy anus as the other poster said . That probably is linked. Just reading the book How Not to Age and I realise I've has my diet wrong all these years. I am embarking on a major diet change and hopefully this will provide more relief.

Yes I get a horrible heavy sometimes tingly feeling in the thighs up to an hour before a bowel movement even when all is normal, and have to lay down after as I'm left knocked out. I also get a sudden jab up the rear that I would literally jump out of the chair. It would be funny if not so painful. I have been told many times that it sounds like the Vegas nerve is playing up. It seems to affect my mood as well. The awful heavy feeling makes me adjitated and tearful.

I also get a horrible heavy pain in the groin. If I bend over. Eg washing my hair over the bath or weeding the garden I have to straighten up very slowly as very painful. Onlookers would think I have a bad back but it's the front? If I didn't know better I would think I have a hernia but no lumps. ( thank god)
