My Constipation condition had worsened and my GI doctor wants me to resume a ridiculous therapy that doesn't work. Does anyone recommend a GI doctor or hospital in the US? I am willing to travel.

Help, I am looking for the best GI hospitals in the US?
As someone with a gastro-intestinal illness and medical experience, I will say THE PATIENTS OPINION MATTERS! If you think something isn't working, take it up with a consultant, your GI Doctor or your GP. If they refuse, you always have the option of a second opinion. Now, as an English doctor, I can't give you geographic details on to Gastro intestinal specialized clinics or anything else but I can look. Just give me your town and state. Then I'll look at your nearest GI clinic or hospital and see if it's good for you. You don't need to respond but, here to help! 😉🩺
Thank you. I am in Western PA with UPMC. I tried to go to Mayo Clinic but they won't take my insurance. I hate American medicine

Steps:
1: Go to your GI Doctor and request to switch to treatment at WPH
2: Receive the all clear sign
3: Schedule an appointment with the GI department at WPH via the referral from your old doctor
4: Explain your condition, point out everything and be nice at the consultation
and everything in between! Your welcome!
Any further requests or questions, reply back.
I would try the Cleveland Clinic. Not too far from you, and one the top facilities in the world.
Thanks. How do you know?
It has an international reputation of being one of the best , just like the Mayo Clinic. You can look it up. When I had stomach surgery, and was having problems, I was told that the Cleveland Clinic was the best place to go. People come from all over the world to be seen there. I would have gone, from California, if my issue had not been resolved.
Also curious what your GI doc recommended that doesn’t work.
Pelvic floor therapy
Have you tried all the other alternatives to Linzess? There are a few, like Amitiza, that all work slightly differently. If none work, you may have a tight puburectalis muscle or levator ani syndrome. If so, then pelvic floor therapy and bio-feedback are the best and only remedies. You could also have a rectal prolapse. Please look these up and see if the symptoms sound like yours. Don’t give up! Unfortunately, it’s a long road.
What else are you doing for your constipation? What kind of tests were done?
Just Linzess 290 and Mirilax. Docusate too, which works very rarely. I had pelvic floor therapy but it daiked
