Oh dear! That must be a worry. As daft as it sounds, physical activity can bring your stress levels down however you feel. If you're able to, why not try going for a walk or something? (It's raining cats and dogs here so that might not be an option!) But whatever exercise you're able to do safely, give it a go. Hope everything turns out OK.

hi Brad

Have you seen blood in your stool? Have you had a fit test done? It could be your very constipated with internal haemorrhoids. What blood test did you have? How old are you?

So a negative fit test is good news, you GP should not have said cancer, that blood test can show up for a lot of different reasons, it could be a bowl infection, are they giving you a colonoscopy? I had my last one at the end of2022, it was not very pleasant but the results came back with internal haemorrhoids, no cancer or IBD, I am 60 now and have had bowl issues for over 30 years and angina for about 4 years, I am type 2 diabetic. Once you get to se a specialist they will sort things for you, try not to worry as worrying can make things worse.

Just curious if inflammatory markers would show for IBS. I know they do for Crohn's, IBD, etc., but I didn't think they would for IBS (one of those purely "functional" ailments). Is it fecal calprotectin?
