wind with ibs
Hi Harold2, it’s a minefield of causes and effects isn’t it! All I can do is pass on what works for me and that’s Wind-Eze pills. There’s a few different brands but the effective ingredient is Simeticone. If not already done, consult your GP and get the relevant tests to identify any causes so at least you may get an idea of what you’re dealing with.
Good luck!
I found that charcoal capsules helped me. But watch if you are on any medication, because they can slow absorption. Good luck.
Have you tried Rennie Deflatine?
hi Harold, do u think, or have you been diagnosed as having slow transit as this can be the underlying cause that needs addressing, I suffer with this too unfortunately. Modifying your diet can help once you can identify the triggers but this is not enough. Massage the your abdomen regularly, maybe in the morning after breakfast, drink plenty fluids and walk, exercise, jump if possible as it all helps to disperse trapped air in the gut. Some yoga positions can help, lying flat on the floor gives me the most relief, but I also roll on my front on a bean bag ! I have tried peppermint capsules, windeze, colpermin, Fybocalm wind relief , charcoal capsules and my latest find is ….Woodwards Gripe Water which may actually help. Well I hope this is relevant and helpful, best of luck and hope you find something that works for you.
