I didn’t get to my show, ended up with bad headache on top of everything else😭. Sat in hotel bar briefly so my poor hubby could enjoy a drink, I was on water! Anyway spoke to a lovely couple who were on the last night of a trip over from Dublin. To cut a long story short we gave them the tickets, felt better knowing they were not going to waste. Tum still not behaving, and tom I’m supposed to be going with family for afternoon tea. Anxiety rising, worried I’m going to have to cancel this as well, I’ve been so looking forward to it. So fed up of having to cancel things miss out on so much🥺

flare up on night out part 2!
I’m really sorry to hear this - just know you’re not alone! I have to cancel loads of things too - especially if they involve food. But I try to look at it as protecting myself from horrible situations and even more stress and worsening symptoms.
My workplace decided to order a takeaway curry for xmas today with beer and only 1 bathroom is working in the building currently 😫 I had to tell lies because I just couldn’t risk eating anything - I’m sure they think I’m super weird but hey ho!
Christmas is a minefield for IBS!!
I also had a "mini" flare up this morning which is all my own fault and I caused it, by eating fried brussels sprouts (so tasty!) chestnuts (which are low Fodmap, but I have to be careful with nuts generally) and a huge handful of salted roasted cashews! mini roast potatoes with skins and rosemary...and coconut based strawberry cheesecake!!
Plus a wee bit too much vodka with honey.
Ooops. All really tasty stuff, much enjoyed at the time, and my gut threw a tantrum this morning. Never mind. Glad I have fast gut transit because that food is history now. Back to white rice and hard boiled eggs tonight! Happy Boxing Day feast Luisa! Paid my dues....
