I was given some nutritional supplements by the dietitian-complan shakes and aymes shakes- to try on top of my usual meals and see if I tolerate them, with the aim of gaining some weight. I'm not lactose intolerant so I should be ok. But I'm just terrified they are going to give me horrible symptoms. Has anyone tried them or other nutritional supplements and do they actually help you to gain weight?? Thanks for reading

Yes, Ensure Plus. Gave me terrible bloating and gas. Had to stop.
Sorry to hear that Silence. Are you thinking in trying any other?
My dietitian put me on vital 1.5kcal shakes they are peptide based shakes. Peptides are partially broken down proteins, which makes them easier to digest and absorb in the gut than whole proteins. These are used for people with bowel disease so they are very good and shouldn’t cause issues but a dietitian would need to prescribe them as they are expensive. You could buy a couple online to try them and see how the affect you. Yes they do help with weight gain they have 300 calories in a 200ml bottle and can even be used as sole nutrition for those that cannot eat solids. Good luck
Thanks for the information!
For anything digestive, hasten slowly- any added food could cause issues-earlier this year when my sister came to visit (2 months!!) she said I needed chia seeds in my porridge, made it and it took me two weeks to get back to something like normal for me!! I suffered pain, bloat, all sorts of issues! Good luck!
this is the link to the main website you can’t buy then from here but you can see them and the ingredients etc xx
