Hi. I am wondering about enzymes for IBS-C. Is that what you have/had?

Hey

I use “ natures best” or “ cytoplans”

Both good, what was suggested by a gastro dr ... nature best are cheaper and u get more so i stick to them.

I always take a good probiotic to.. again both these companies do very good ones... high potency the better .. 10 billion i think mine is.

I also take peppermint oil capsules high strength from holland and barratt( cheap) it helps with upset belly and wind problems...

B it trapped or alot of it😂

Also a magnesium tablet so it helps me 💩... all in all i go every day and have zero prob now..

I did give up gluten aswell 3 years ago as i noticed bread bloated me and bunged me up

Thanks - yes, I looked at both those - you mean Cyto-Zyme, right? I like the fact that cytoplans seems more natural - zero additives like mag stearate etc I'm looking for one that's heavy on xylanase, glucanese and cellulase - no amylase. I found one and then spotted it contained milk - ugh. I might be brave enough though, if the enzymes work, to see if I can have whey again because the SEVERE intolerance only happened out of the blue in 2016. I don't miss milk anymore and I really do believe I am better without it but I would like to be able to eat yogurt as it's so good for gut and bones etc

Yes i had same problem i have never really had a problem with foods( tiny upset stomach now and again after eating certain foods) but i was really ill about 6 years ago , in a coma through severe reaction to some antibiotics for tooth infection...

All the antibiotics and steroids they flushed through my system killed my gut lining and left me soooo ill.

I couldnt eat anything after and i noticed milk dairy and gluten esp bread were worse culprits so i decided to eliminate them then saw a gastro specialist about building up gut health...

Hence all the supplements... i dont eat anything that put pressure on digestive system ie red meat, breads, gluten,

I have introduced milk ( skimmed) and natural greek yoghurt and im ok now.. as my gut is so healthy it can more or less take it now...

I have noticed many changes since all this change.. hair nails and skin look amazing!

Lost 2 stone in weight and never feel bloated

Also used to severely suffer pmt and period and that has more then halved in pain and moods....

So all in all out of something very bad came something good

Yes cytoplan is by far the best out there no nasties in there BUT u do pay for what u get!

There probiotics are great to

Thank you - it gives me hope that I might, eventually, get some way back to normal again but I think it takes time - longer than I had imagined.

Oh god yes... took me about 2-3 years to get where i am now and alot of will power( u dont know how hard it is to not eat bread)

It all worth it in end

I use the brand "quest" they seem pretty trustworthy and come sealed and are vegan, and gluten free. They seem to work but I also take good quality peppermint oil with them and they make a difference ie I can eat a fiery curry (full of IBS triggers) and don't get much trouble as its once a week.

I have used this for my gut issues and it is excellent. My case was fairly severe so it took 2 bottles of the stuff before i started to see results. I used to take it on empty stomach in the morning with a bit of olive oil and warm water. Good luck :)
