Hi I am really confused has anyone been prescribed mesalazine? I have been recently prescribed it?

I’ve got to see a specialist soon after I had a colonoscopy and it showed up inflammation and it had to be stopped as they were unable to get to my right side due to the inflammation and it was very mucusy. I haven’t been diagnosed with IBS but I have discomfort when I have products that contain cows milk even a drop in hot drinks along with spicy/fatty foods a friend lent me a dvd about IBS and I could tick many boxes when they were saying about triggers but lots of people could with many different conditions so I didn’t want to get too involved with diagnosing myself.

Sounds more like an IBD rather than IBS. I know the camera test was stopped but did they get any biopsies

Hi many thanks for reaching out to me. Yes I had biopsies done at the time back in June but I haven’t heard anything from the hospital despite checking I’ll probably know more when I see the specialist.

Well I hope you find out for sure what it is. Took me years to be diagnosed with Crohn's because mines located in the middle of my small bowel. Still on and off steroids as they help with the symptoms

I hope so too. I’ve heard from lots of people like yourself who have had to fight to get a diagnosis rather than just being fobbed off.
