GDH Positive -anyone?

Well having been rushed into A & E last week I have just now been given the news that I am GDH positive and will always require isolation nursing on all future hospital visits/ stays?

Can’t find much on here by ‘searching’ I have been dismissed by GPS as problematic with probable IBS. This sounds pretty hard to live with?

As I understand it GDH positive is treatable according to NHS UK information. It can also be linked to IBS from what I read, so don't let your Dr be dismissive, hold them to account.

Do a Google search so you can advocate for yourself and get the results you need.

Cheers

I believe so, I had a C.Diff infection (Colitus) upon admission which is all being treated with a 10 day course of antibiotic plus a magnesium supplement. I also had kidney ‘injury ‘ which is being monitored. Told I will always be managed in isolation when visiting/ staying in hospital and GP also advised of situation so they too can treat accordingly. I understand the need but nevertheless it is daunting and depressing.

Thank you unfortunately it is the GDH Positive that is the problem not the c diff. This is the part that requires isolation and ‘special’ measures that make me feel so awful!
