Good morning, has anyone seen a link between the vaccine and IBS? I had my vaccine on the 14th March and my first entry in my diary is on the 20th April. With it saying colon and problems with stomach.
I’m just wondering has anyone else had problems after taking the vaccine?
I hwve never had any problems with my stomach. I could drink a bottle and half of wine and the next morning go on a 100 mile bike ride. So just wondering if there’s a link
thanks in advance

Exactly two weeks after each of my 3 booster shots my IBS worsened. After the third one last December 29, I had 10 weeks of diarrhea every morning before I drank my morning coffee until I figured out to have some Greek yogurt (or other kind of protein) first.
Plenty of people have had problems, but a lot of doctors feel it's too much paperwork to file reports about the symptoms (I don't live in the US or UK,, which do have reporting websites). Look on Reddit for various testimonials concerning bad reactions to the vaccines.
Of course, doctors dont want to complete reports for adverse effects of vaccines they administered! Hence why patients should do their own, if possible (see my reply to OP).
Covid vaccine adverse effects have certainly been reported for IBD. Whilst its now more difficult to view these online (!!), youll find some older ones reported via google for your specific vaccine type eg "COVID-19 mRNA Pfizer- BioNTech vaccine analysis print".
Separately note here an independent report on the vaccine adverse effects for gastro in general including warning to those with specific gastro issues eg IBD "... of the potential GI tract-related adverse events....". ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
