breathless with constipation

Hi everyone,

I get terrible constipation and at times notice I feel like I can’t take full breaths which makes me feel uncomfortable and dizzy I just wondered if it could be connected to the constipation? I do also have endometriosis but I find the breathlessness problem is worse the more constipated I am.

does anyone else experience this?

Thanks 😊

Forgive this simplistic response. I am sure you have tried many things to relieve constipation. I have dealt with Afib over the last 3 years and found that the trigger was trapped gas, usually exacerbated by constipation over 3 days or so. I have managed to get free of constipation problems, and the key was to get off of BP meds and stop taking laxatives. Instead I took the advice of someone one on the forum and drank a glass of prune juice with a mixed tablespoon of flaxseed and chia seed each day. After a while I got to there point where I seldom need that anymore. I have not had Afib for 9 months now, and the key is regularity and avoiding foods that give me gas (I have celiac disease, so no gluten), along with some antacid pills when needed and exercise.

I just wanted to pass along the prune juice recommendation that helped me.
