Hi all, I'm feeling very unsure at the moment , as yesterday I had an extremely hot sweat and felt very weak and tired ,I did go to the loo but it didn't seem to improve , I finished up in bed for the evening ,I woke up this morning ,still feeling rough and actually thought maybe it was a hyper event due to my type 2 diabetes , but having seen the diabetic nurse this morning and being reassured my levels are fine I now think it might possibly be my IBS ,I usually have IBS m and more recently it's been more inclined to C, so it made me wonder if anybody else had experienced any thing like I described, the nurse has ask my gp to see me ASAP but who knows when that might be !!
Can you relate to this ?: Hi all, I'm feeling... - IBS Network
Can you relate to this ?
Just wondering what you had eaten before this episode? I ask, because I can get like this if I overdose on sugar, which I didn't recognise until I ate most of a box of fudge. Hot, sweaty, grey skin and feeling like I might pass out. I then felt wiped out for several days.
Hello thanks for reply ,I did eat a Turkish delight ,as you know very sweet also a custard donut, not together lol, but other wise yes I still feel a bit wierd 2 days on , thanks very reassuring and helpful . Take care x
Thank you yes I really must stop being so naughty , but really can't resist sometimes .
I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling unsure and experiencing symptoms of hot sweats, weakness, and tiredness. It's possible that your symptoms could be related to your type 2 diabetes or your IBS, or it could be something else entirely.
In the meantime, there are some things you can do to help manage your symptoms. If you have IBS, it's important to continue to follow a healthy diet that's low in trigger foods and high in fiber. This blog might help! casadesante.com/blogs/low-f...
Oh Thankyou very much for your reply and also the link you shared I will look at it , but am now sure that ,what I experienced was IBS, I saw my diabetic nurse yesterday and due assured me that it wasn't related and then today ,I had absolute proof of it being IBS,I won't go into detail but I'm sure you can work it out , thank you again for taking the time and trouble to reply .x
Most flares I have result in hot flashes, sweating, light headedness and I find I’m rather sleepy after the attack as a result of it. I think it’s linked to causing anxiety for me during the attack.
I find the symptoms to be very similar to those I experience during a typical panic attack, I often get sleepy and knackered after an episode.
Do you suffer with anxiety? It could be linked maybe, might be worth looking at and speaking to your doctor about.
Hello , I hadn't really thought about anxiety but it do get a bit nervous at times ,I do now know for sure that the attack was ibs related , so its another lesson learnt ,and thank you for your reply I wi give your suggestion some thought too , take care x
