I have tried Mebeverine , it did help for a while , going to go back to trying the Fodmap and keeping a food diary , Thankyou for your reply

Hi, have you tried keeping a food diary for a couple of weeks? If you record food/drink and symptoms it may link to a food intolerance. These can develop at any age.

Burping doesn't sound like IBS, bloating does. I had burping and gagging and it turned out to be a hiatus hernia and I think my stress levels didn't help. I now take lansoprazole which has worked well.
