Hi! I’m a 25 year old who’s suffered from chronic IBS for a lot of years now.. it effects me so much it makes me horrendously bloated and tired I’ve tried everything that is possible to try. I’m fed up with how much it ruins things for me. Does anyone else suffer chronic and have any tips?

Have you tried Alflorex probiotic which has been scientifically studied for IBS?

I am right there with you. I have suffered with it since my 20's and I am now 48. It can rule your life and I have only found balance in knowing that I continue to try to find a solution, and that I have created some flexibility in my life to accommodate the worst days. My suggestion is to not give up in the fight to understand what your specific cause might be. You are at least fighting this at a time when medicine has finally began to understand how key the role of the gut is in just about everything and they are not blinded by years of bad info and non associated funding for research. It is a different world now compared to 10-15 or even 5 year ago.

I have no idea when you say you have tried everything, what that list might be or what testing you have had to determine it is IBS, but I can say there is usually something else. Clean diet, not much cheating and none with trigger foods, working out, staying in shape, lowering stress (not easy when you have gut issues), all lead to a better life with IBS.
