Left side pain

Hi how long should left side pain last ? Sore to touch .right in the gap from rib to next bone down ? Lol technical me lol . Like a nagging stitch when u move

I think it's just part and parcel of the IBS. I have had IBS for years, daily for last 30 years and when it first started it was always on my left hand side. To tell you the truth, I preferred it on the left side. I get it on my right side now, and I hate that, cause you can't seem to just push it out from there! Do you have it everyday or do you have flare-ups?

Thankyou for replying, I presume it’s flare ups as not all the time . Get a nagging ache usually but this has kept me awake a few nights , it is gradually improving as sleeping now ( as much as I ever do !) but still there

Hi I currently have a horrible pain in my left side just under the centre of my ribs. I don’t know wether it’s ibs or gastritis (inflammation of my stomach lining).As I have been diagnosed with both in the past.It has woke me up a few times this past week but usually settles with a rennie or gaviscon.If only we understood and knew what was causing our pains I think it would be easier to cope with them.
