Not heard of those before but everyone's different? Although I'd be tempted to check it wasn't anything else. Have you been to the doctors with your ibs before to diagnose it?

Sounds like IBD. Is the blood dark or bright red, are you loosing any weight, any sores or ulcers in your mouth?

I have had blood and mucus every evening for the past 5 years. After numerous tests, I'm bleeding from nowhere, but that's normal for me. Been pushing for an MRI of the upper abdomen for years, but to no avail. Seeing consultant this week, so will bring this to his attention and see if I get anywhere again.If you're able to get anywhere, please let us know, but the best answer I've had, is an obstruction in the bowel, an normally get given laxatives to fix it.

You certainly need to be checked out as soon as possible - blood with mucus from the bowel is not normal.

I had this a few days ago. We were on our way to our holiday and I hadnt eaten all day and was taking Naproxen for a Tooth Extraction earlier in the week.. I then had diahrrea with blood..I've still got diahrrea but no blood..I'm guessing it was Naproxen as it can be nasty but will call my GP when I get home. Hope you get your symptoms checked out .D.
