I take high potency enzymes and probiotics. I eat small meals. I also have food allergies on top of IBS-D. I stay away from anything soy, soybeans, soy sauce, soy milk, soy flour, soy oil which is also known as vegetable oil......and corn syrups, peanuts. Also "sugar free" anything...

It's been hard to figure all this out over the years but reading labels on all foods and avoiding bad ingredients has helped a lot.

It is really hard to figure out what works and does not work for IBS-D. For me personally Probiotics are a definite no. Tried again and again over the years and one time thought ok give it a real good try so for 3 months took faithfully and nope will never do that again. It seems when I am triggered by something it takes me weeks/months to get back to MY normal which is being very careful what I eat and taking immodium before any outing. Unfortunately don’t know about all of my triggers but do know quite a few (lactose, beef, milk chocolate, and an outing where no facilities are readily available). I just try to enjoy what I can and deal with what I have too.
