So for the last year I’ve been pretty much symptom free with only the odd flare up and the reflux had disappeared but last Wednesday I had a stressful event I lost my dog for a few hours I could feel a knot in my stomach above my belly button and since then I’ve been so bloated bad nausea and my reflux seems to have returned could this be a stomach ulcer or just an ibs flare if so how long will it last it’s been a week tomorrow

any suggestions would be much appreciated

Hi Very stressful losing you dog.

What I have learnt is to not pin your hopes on it not lasting long my current flare up has been nearly 3mths now.

Bloating, abdo pain and trapped wind along side constipation nearly every day. I ve had about a 2-3 day break then it’s started again.

I ve spent so much money on medication to help relive it but nothing that has massively helped me.

Due to the constipation and the staining from the trapped wind and constipation I have severe sacral and nerve damage into the rectum ☹️

However don’t take what am going through as yours will be as long.

Sorry to be so negative but am feeling really down now with no hope of things improving.

You will probably be ok in a few days.

Thanks for your reply sorry to hear you’re feeling down I guess when you’re feeling low it’s a viscous circle chin up hopefully you’ll start feeling better soon
