Bleeding haemorrhoids or something else?

Hi, please any advice for IBS-C bleeding haemorrhoids? Tiredness and housebound. Thank you.

Do you have internal (Prolapsed hemorrhoids) or external? Do you have IBS-C or IBS-D? Does blood go in the toilet? Or is the blood in your stool? I have this too from prolapsed hemorrhoids due to chronic and severe constipation. Sometimes I bleed badly where a lot goes in toilet (bright red). Had recent colonoscopy. No cancer. Try to wipe after a movement with wet and warm toilet paper. Try to not use dry toilet paper because it will only aggravate them. Don't wipe hard as it will further irritate them. Use gentle motions. I also use the cottonelle flushable wipes with aloe. As well as "tucks pad" that sooth hemorrhoids. Or sometimes I use suppositories to help with bleeding hemorrhoids. You can get those over the counter..I think the tucks pads have to be prescribed. Sometimes I just apply an ice pack for about 10 minutes in a soft cloth to get the pain and swelling down. How bad (or what grade) are the hemorrhoids? Have you talked to your gastro about possible surgery? There are several options of surgery available.

Hi Eliana and thanks for replying. No external haemorrhoids, recently I am experiencing painful BM with bright red blood in the toilet. Previously, had BM up to 3 times a day. Due to covid circumstances I was discharged by gastro (NHS) and had to be treated privately (without success) who referred me to a private Dietitian for weight loss. No colonoscopy suggested. Endoscopic examination 2019 confirmed GERD and H pylori/ untreated bcs of antibiotics intolerance. A blood test is requested to identify intolerances. Liquid diet ➕ fortisip daily. Diagnosis of IBS - May 2021 and Mebeverine was prescribed.

Above all trying to cope with menopause symptoms.
