Frequent nausea and heartburn again

Started feeling sick and having heart burn quite frequent should I start my lansoprazole again I have been off them for a couple of months but think I need to re take them again, are they ok to take they have been in my medical cupboard for 4 months.

Hi. I'm sure they will be fine. Check the dates but if only 4 months old they will be good for ages. Look at your diet to see what has started it off again. Take them until you feel better and then wean yourself off them slowly. Put a bigger gap inbetween taking them once you are better. Maybe take some Gaviscon advance to help to but not at the same time as it will stop absorption of the Lansoprazole. Then hopefully Gaviscon will help you just on its own. Meanwhile book a chat with your doctor too. All the best.

Thank you for your reply I took a lansoprazole tablet this morning I feel a bit better. I will give the doctor a call later x

Hi there I spoke to my doctor and he said could be the fungus infection causing the nausea I have a fungus in my lungs the doctor has given me medicine for it today and some more lansoprazole.

Hi there. That was good you were able to talk to a doctor so quick. Hopefully you will feel a big improvement soon. Don't think I have heard of a fungas in the lungs before. I have had problems with my lungs because of reflux acid agrivating them and that gives me such a bad cough. Is that a similar thing?

I noticed my phlegm had black goo inside it. I sent to the lab and they found a fungus don’t think it is same thing I get a cough to from the acid reflux. Do you get bad acid reflux? I have had mine since I caught h pylori but that has cleared up now but still get the acid x

That sounds nasty (black goo) yes I have suffered for years. I have food intolerances. I went down hill when they withdrew Zantac (H2 Blocker) from the market. I was prescribed lansoprazole but they don't work so well for me and I ended up with Esophagitis (erosion of the Oesophagus) I couldn't eat much and it had to be soft. Not a good way to lose weight as I did. I just live with it now. I find gaviscon advance very good. I have since been able to try some other H2s but I can't get the dosage right for me as yet. I was tested for H pylori but was clear.

That is not good could they do surgery to stop the acid reflux from escaping your stomach, how did you find out your food intolerances.
