My gastro consultant had never heard of anyone having sickness in morning... I cannot get up before 9am (before this started, I was always up 6am latest). Until 2pm.. don’t talk to me, no conversation without retching.
He also never heard of anyone not being able to brush teeth in morning without retching.
Some days, just smell of food makes me puke. Again he had never heard of this.
Has anyone else with gastro issues had any of these things?
5 and a half years in with this. Have been told it’s upper GI issues, lower GI issues Gastric dysfunction, Hiatus Hernia and severe IBS.
I am 😞 lost

Hi there, I have IBSC and since lockdown last year my nausea in the morning has increased by a lot. Unfortunately I'm unable to offer anything other than my sincere sympathy. X
You don't say how old you are. But if it's any consolation I used to feel sick most of the time when my son was little (still do a lot now). I often got up in the morning and was sick but it was mainly green bile. Generally I felt better after being sick.
I too used to gag when cleaning my teeth and now I'm old and dont go out and don't really care I just leave them until later and to do them when I feel more like doing them, sometimes I just don't do them at all.
How much are you eating? I sometimes feel sick and not like eating but once I start eating I often find I am enjoying it and the nausea goes away. It's a funny old thing sickness, it doesn't really tell you what your problem is, it just makes you feel worse or as you say can sometimes incapacitate you.
I've never had morning nausea like that, not even during my pregnancies (I had more like all day mildly sick don't want to eat feeling instead). But if I try and brush my teeth with toothpaste I can't do it without retching, morning or night, haven't been able to for about 8 or 10 years now. The gastro consultant I saw was seriously annoying, I guess they're so highly qualified that they think they know more than they do.
