Hi

My gastro

Has prescribed

SenEase 7.5 mg tablets

Leaflet says

2 at night 2 or 3 times a week

Not to be taken for more than a week

And

Laxido Orange, powder for oral solution

Leaflet says

One 3 times a day for no more than 2 weeks

I took 2 of the senease tablets last night

I am not sure I should also take the powder.

Also not sure this is helpful in the long term?

Just fed up with burning bloated stomach.

Hi Junie

Thinking on a natural remedy for constipation. I used to use Golden Linseed soaked in water then consumed, I used to drink it. You have to follow it by drinking some water as the linseed solution is very thick. It's about 1 tablespoon of linseeds to around 1/2 to 3/4 mug of water.

I hope that this helps and if it does then it doesn't matter when you have it as it's natural.

HiYes I tried the linseeds last year, not for me I’m afraid.

Just don’t think I should take the tablets and the drink.

My constipation is not that bad.

I am just suffering with a burning stomach, which is so bad it disturbes my sleep and it is there most of the day, also very bloated.

I am researching what I can do?

Thanks for your reply

I'm so sorry they didn't work for you but pleased your constipation isn't too bad. I'm sorry though you have a burning stomach and really hope that you find something that works for you.

Take care

Hi, where is the burning feeling, is it your stomach area or your lower abdomen? If you are constipated, then I would try the Sen-ease first and see if that works.

Burning tum sounds like gastritis rather than constipated! What have you tried

That’s what I thought, but my gastro said she did not think so . Had Ibs for years and tried most things, but this is the worse flare up I have had.

Thanks for your reply

Have you tried Normacol. My doctor recommended it and it is very gentle. You take one sachet mixed in a tiny amount of yoghurt or just swallow the granules in the morning. It is not on prescription though and the last box cost me £16. Important to stay upright after taking the granules. I found it very gentle and effective.
