what next ???

mebeverin- has anyone taken this and found it doesnt work after a while ? what is the next step ? laxatives ,colpamin,buscopan !!!!! fed up .....

I’ve taken mebeverine for a long while and stopped it because I felt worse taking it, I think it works differently for different people, but for me it was no good. I take buscopan when needed and they work a treat, I also take a sachet of cosmocal daily just to keep things moving. Sorry I can’t be of more help to you but hope you find a treatment that works for you

I use prescription laxatives, fruit, digestive enzymes, vegetables, fruit juice, beetroot and so on. There are many alternatives that can help move things along without having to resort to supplements. At the end of the day if it works for you go with it, literally!

What are your symptoms? Mebeverine slows things down, whereas laxatives speed things up.

cramp ,sort of stiff in the middle feeling ,pain mainly down left side and back - any help /suggestions welcome -doc gave laxatives -then mebeverine

What are your bowels like? Are you loose, constipated or regular/normal? This chart might help:

No doubt the thought police will prohibit these distressing pictures!! In fact very useful - while I've read descriptions of the Bristol scale, the pics are far more helpful. Thanks for posting.
