I have really bad health anxiety so my symptoms do not help at all. Just to add that I did 2 FIT test to check for hidden blood in stool over the last week and they were both negative. My symptoms are
Constipation - resolved
3 episodes of Rectal Bleeding - April, August and October hopefully Now resolved
Gurgling stomach
Excess gas
Weight loss - 2kg in a week. this coincides with starting diuretic after stopping for a week.
Abdominal pains - burning, dull ache
Lower back pain
Nausea - off and on
Feeling like I can’t completely empty after bowel movement
Excess orange/brown mucus in stools
I have also been diagnosed with gallstones and the pain is now chronic. Looking to take it out soon.

I have had a lot of the symptoms you mention and I also suffer with health anxiety, so I understand how awful that feels. I've had ibs d for many years which would occur when I was anxious. Last year I started with abdominal pains and had some episodes of diarrhoea and bleeding on several occasions. Colonoscopy showed diverticular disease, but nothing sinister. Abdominal scan showed multiple gall stones and I had my gallbladder removed in August. I've had numerous blood tests and tests for inflammatory bowel disease, which are all normal. I have realised my anxiety adds a lot to my symptoms, in particular it makes me feel nauseous and struggle to eat. I lost 9 pounds over the summer which worried me immensely, but since I have been less anxious, I have regained all of that. Diuretics would definitely contribute to weight loss, as will anxiety. I know my symptoms are much worse when my anxiety is high.
Thank you for taking time to respond. I really struggled today. I am seeing the doctor again on Monday to see if they can fast track my referral. I just want this over and done with. My mind is preoccupied with it all day long and I know this most likely makes the symptom worse. While I should be reassured by the positive fit test. The weight loss is troubling.
Hello Sharamina,Isn't health anxiety horrible? Like an ongoing panic attack. I get frustrated with the length of time things take right now (though I get it!) Like you, I need answers and waiting is so hard. Hang in there. 🌸Just wanted you to know, you're not alone!
Thank you so much. You describe it so well. Like an ongoing panic attack. I think I will finally get the help I need for anxiety after this episode. I pray you get the answers you are hoping for.

Hello Pansy2, thanks for replying. That must have been horrible. Hope things get better for you. I was only offered surgery for gallstones which I am hoping to avoid. As far as I know, they have never caused me constipation, it causes me a lot of gas, pain on both right and left upper quadrant. Back and shoulder pains too. I haven’t been diagnosed with IBS. I have an appointment to see my GP again on Monday. I hope we can proceed from there.
Hi there I hope they do something for you , I don’t think I could put up with the gallstone pain forever it’s prob affecting my digestion as a whole it’s gotta go !!! Lol x
