I have ibs-d and my doctor has mentioned this to me. Would it help me with the d part? I've read online it helps water be drawn out of stool and reduces the amount of bowel movements

Hi, Rainybean, I have just read the bit about water being drawn out of stool. I had mebeverine many years ago when my IBS first started and it was more runny then. But I don't remember it helping to dry it out at all. But reading up on buscopan, it mentions side effect might include constipation, so that maybe the better option for you, if you have not tried it. I tried it once towards the end of my menopause but it gave me a period after about 18 months without one, so I guess it might depend on your age. Have you looked into BAM (Bile Acid Malabsorption)?
