Is anyone’s spasms/squeezing pain worse when walking

My pain is often worse when standing up and worser still when walking. It all depends what my insides decide to do that day. If that makes any sense to you!
Where is your pain and is it constant. Mine is just above waist. Had it over two months now. Been free of it for about a year. It’s awful and cramps even more when I walk. I could cry. Worse than child birth!
It's not constant, and moves around a lot. Today it's in right groin and hip area. Getting better than it was this morning. My pain is generally around or below the belly button area. I only get cramps when I feel like I need to go to the toilet. What I am having today is pain from what is inside me but I am trying my hardest not to go back to the toilet as it will just make it worse. Well that's what I am guessing because I never know whether I should be going back to the loo or not. Sometimes it can make it ten times worse! After 35 years of fighting this "thing", I am still not sure what I am supposed to do. Don't know much about childbirth pain as only had one child and that was emergency ceasarian, silly sod got tangled in the umbillical cord!
Maureen I can tell you that my pain is worse than 10 hours of labour. I have been screaming with the pain this morning. I have slow transit constipation (very slow) and that gas that builds up behind it, is what, I think, is causing the pain. It can take hours for the stools to eventually come out. I have been sdtruggling for 3 years now. Totally lost my life which was wonderful.
I was awake in the night as well. It is just like contractions above my waist. Hope you feel better soon. Mine is worse after going to toilet. Someone said to try fibre gel., but I’m not constipated ie had diarrhoea.
Just a though Jasper21. I have read about overflow diarrhoea on here, which does just that i.e. overflows past hard solid stools. Just checking that you know about it and have decided that doesn't apply to you.
People who don't have it, just don't understand how bad it can be, it can totally destroy the life you should have had.
That's the depressing part Maureen. To think this complaint is everlasting is causing terrible anxiety and I am sure this adds to the IBS pain.
I am always having this thought at the back of my mind that at some point I will not be able to do it anymore. Some days are such a struggle to just get through them let alone get anything achieved.
Hi Maureen. Dont give up. I know its tough, ive got problems with my tummy too. I used to be a strong bloke, weight training, martial arts, allsorts of stuff. Since i had gastritis and ibs, i'm as weak a kitten. But i research everything i can that might help, try it, and if it doesnt work, move on and try something else. I still try and do some exercise however little it may be.. dont give up. I know its easy to say..youre not on your own.
