I have been struggling with ibs for the past 18 months or so & had a stool sample analysed privately approx 12 months ago. It came back with extremely high klebsiella. I also suffer with prostatitis which can be caused by klebsiella (so I’ve read). Has anyone else has any experience with high klebsiella ? Thanks

Yes. In 3 microbiome tests, Klebsiella classed as high eg ~2xnormal figure ~18m ago. My initial approach was to try natural antibiotics to kill it but I now focus on the "terrain theory" by getting my microbiome in better balance instead.
Ive never been formally diagnosed with IBS but have had some symptoms which might indicate it albeit relatively mild compared with many.

For those suffering from Klebsiella and IBS, this is known to be a first symptom of ankylosing spondilitus. Klebsiella feeds off starch so the first thing to do is to cut out starch and follow Alan Ebringer's low-starch diet. There is also an excellent book how to do this Carol Sinclair's The IBS Low-Starch Diet. Worked 100% for me. No more symptoms. There is also a US AS forum called Kick-ASS with lots of information (NOTE: Starch is 50% of carbs, the other 50% is sugar - non need to kick sugar just starch foods)
