Have chronic inflammation and pain and inflamed burning rectrum, for over a year now, diarrhoea and constipation alternate, was placed with. a Gastroenterologist six months ago and after less than 10 minutes on a telephone appointment was diagnosed with guess what, IBS I have never had a face to face appointment so how on earth did she come up with this diagnosis, after months of hell I went to my local surgery and insisted that they find me a appointment in a different Hospital with another Gastroenterologist a lovely Doctor had lots of sympathy and after breaking down in floods of tears agreed, she was shocked at the way I had been treated by this former Doctor who has done nothing to help me whatsoever, I am waiting in the next three days for an appointment I will send a reply with health unlocked who have kept me sane.

Please put an official complaint in about the Gastro who diagnosed you on phone. This has to stop, and nothing will be done unless people start shouting from the rooftops. People are suffering due to wrong or no diagnosis. So glad you have found someone to listen to you, I had to go privately to be heard. It is so wrong.
I was told by onother Doctor to put an official complaint in but to be honest I really have not got the strength my anxiety level is getting quite high just lately.
By helping others I mean trying to make Doctors accountable for thier actions to try and stop them treating more people in the same way they treated you. Xxxx
I've been where you've been and it's so exhausting to be in pain and suffering and have the people who are meant to care dismiss or ignore you. My ibs symptoms were diagnosed as depression by a GP after they failed to read/ignored a letter from the hospital and sent me for the wrong tests. It takes a lot of guts (excuse the pun) to stand up to the medical profession and demand better care and treatment I applaud you!
Thank you it took months to pluck up the courage, I was assertive and not nasty tho, I agree with you entirely about the depression, pain and depression go hand in hand.
The thing is I didn't have depression. I knew I didn't because I've had it before and it was completely different.
The GP ignored instructions from the hospital team that looked after me through cancer treatment, sent me for the wrong tests and then decided I must have depression because I'd had cancer 🤷♀️ the man was a puttz!
Yes, had this on several levels = thyroid, spine ++ but one of my G'mother's was so feisty that I felt - having a Family Horror Health Tree - that I simply couldn't let her down! 😀💚❤️💛 I've the strength of an Ox and the b*lls of a Lion AND when we're ill we ALL deserve better from those charged with our care and not too shabbily paid by the Public Purse to do so. Be sure of the detail, be calm and do it all in writing. xox
