Any change in symptoms need to be discussed with your doctor. Vomiting isn't a usual sign of IBS.

Technically, you can't have constipation the day after you have diarrhoea; you would have to wait 3 days before it would be classified as constipation, and I often have no bowel movement for a week after an episode like yours! So I'm inclined to think it is a virus, but you would probably have to wait at least a fortnight before any GP takes a change in bowel habit seriously (because bowel complaints can take up to 3 weeks to self-correct). Unless you notice blood in the stool, in which case you should seek urgent medical advice.
