Hi all, new here and wondering if anyone can suggest how to avoid, or at least minimise stomach cramps after eating. I get that full, bloated feeling in my upper tummy, usually followed by,half an hour or so later, horrible stomach cramps. Any suggestions?

Avoiding the stomach cramps?
Have you tried peppermint pills?
Not pills, no but I have found peppermint tea helps. Are the pills better? I can’t say I enjoy the tea but at times it’s useful. Buscopan seems ok for the full blown painful cramps but I don’t like to take too many of them.
I am in the US. They are called IBGuard here and my gastro has recommended them. I don't know what the UK name is. The main thing is that they have to have a strong outer coating so they are not digested in the stomach, but release their contents only in the intestines. I think they are somewhat helpful and worth trying.
I was prescribed Bentyl and Levsin. Decided to stick with Levsin, although
they both work very well. You can take them up to four times a day 30 minutes before a meal and at bedtime or after eating.
Thank you. I have a docs appointment next week and hoping things improve quickly, it’s so uncomfortable 😣
