No pain. No wind. No burping. Blood test negative HP. No allergies. Stooltest - fine. No Crohns. Put on lansoprazole for a month. Don't know if I have low or high stomach acid level. Never tester by GP. Scan cancelled-not suitable. Should I have Endoscopy now or GP, in favor of taking lansoprazole for another month and wants to delay endoscopy? Should I take meds longer? Concerned about covid spikes. Can eat better since tablets, still severely bloated everyday after dinner. Feel full quickly. Eat half of what I used to eat. Plain food only. Feel fatiqued. Previous low iron & low vit d. Have manageable CFS for 4 years. 2 months OK I could eat anything, felt almost never full. Could eat so much food, which seem to always have me a continuous hunger feeling. Is this related? Do I not digest food maybe, which has now caught up with me and left me with this situation?
Update:after 2 months on meds feel again very hungry all the time? No comment or support from doctor! Read that these meds can be quiet harmful. Can he stop them?
Please advice.

I've had recent arguments with the medical profession over what I term "gold standard" testing. In other words, they like to test for everything by any means to rule out something serious. This seems sensible, but can result in unnecessary treatment and side effects. If you are actually better having taken the medication, then I would have thought that was sufficient; after all, the whole point of medical treatment is to make you better, not to carry out procedures for purely academic reasons simply because it is the "gold standard".
By all means, have an endoscopy if the current treatment fails, but if it is working, I would be inclined to leave things as they are.
Thank you for your comment. I still am anxious why I was put on lansoprazole. So far not diagnosed with ulcers, not do I have HP. The meds seem very strong, and have sideffects. Is this normal to give these? Will all my symptoms come back if I get tapered off lansoprazole? Scared.
