Waited 8weeks for a reply from hospital after colonoscopy, saying no further action required, received another letter yesterday saying the consultant will phone me on the 14th September. Worried now they have found something in the 16 biopsy’s that we’re taken. Did anybody else have another letter later from hospital. They found an ulcer near my ileum said it was nothing to worry about.

Colonoscopy results
You'll find out on the 14th September. Good luck xxx
Most likely thing is that the consultant still needs to speak to you to tell you that and check how things are again with you before telling you that they will be referring you back to GP.
Was you referred for you Colonoscopy bu the consultant or GP. It is normal for them to have a chat once the results are in
I think that’s normal procedure, I had a colonoscopy and a polyp removed and I had 2 phone calls informing me all ok. I’d not worry because if there was anything sinister they’d not wait till 14 sept, also he probably wants to explain the ulcer and go into more detail why it’s nothing to worry about. Please keep me updated and good luck & please try not to worry xx
Thank you all for your replies, with covid everything is different, my Gp told me there was no need for any further action from the hospital letter he received. I was quite shocked to receive another letter, I am glad though as would like to ask about the ulcer in my colon if I haven’t got Colitis.
Maybe it's like a mouth ulcer which come and go. Wonder if ulcers in the guts do the same thing
So many questions to this disease that Drs just don’t seem to know. I’m on an immunosuppressant Leflunomide for Polymaligia rheumatica to block the inflammation, wondered if that may help ulcers in the colon which are caused by inflammation, a question that I might ask when the hospital phone.
