Hello I am new to this group. Having serious stomach issues. Have given up gluten but still running to bathroom in the morning. Now given up dairy this past couple of days. Things a bit better. Have a phone appointment with a GP today. I am worried sick and it has not helped the early morning trots! Would love some advice. Tried probiotics but then thought they were not helping. Any advice would be appreciated.

What kind of issue are they and what's happening xx
You'll need to wait for your diagnosis before deciding how to proceed. Your doctor should be offering you stool sample and blood tests. Most people come back with an IBS diagnosis rather than anything else as a result of these tests. If you are diagnosed with IBS, you can check back in here since there is much that can be done to help your symptoms. Good luck.
I had issues with the runs and not in a pleasant way! I saw my gp who did blood tests and 2 faecal sample tests. They all came back normal, but he referred me for a colonoscopy. The colon specialist phoned me to say he didn’t want to do a colonoscopy, but I was to alter my diet. I was to cut out 3 things in order to see if that affected my bowel. The three things were: 1.green leafy vegetables, salad leaves , garlic and onions. 2. dairy products and finally 3. Gluten. I have done the 1st one and it has helped a lot and I’m not so worried that I will have an accident when I’m out. Hope that helps x
Thank you for this. I had a faecal test and it showed inflammation. I have cut out Dairy this past week and it has made a great difference. Originally I cut out gluten. I felt better but then everything went haywire. I have been referred for a colonoscopy but at the moment I really feel so much better and my digestive system non longer feels so irritated.
Great to know that you're felling better. I would recommend you to eat more cherries blueberries, and oranges they help a lot with inflammation. Eating leafy greens, such as kale and spinach will also help a lot.
