Hi Everyone. I have this undiagnosed, IBS-C like illness that I have struggled with for some years now. Has anyone been diagnosed with intestinal Candida? I am like many, looking for ideas to take to my doctor.

Intestinal Yeast
Everyone has candida to a certain degree. It's whether you gut microbes are in strong enough numbers to keep it under control.
I followed an anti-candida diet some years ago and I can't remember it making any real difference. I also had some very expensive stool tests conducted which showed slightly elevated yeasts but I'm sure many people will be in this position - I wouldn't go down this road since you end up being treated for something you don't really have and by people who are not trained medical professionals. What has helped my situation is a good probiotic. I take Alflorex, others use Symprove. Good bacteria found in probiotics can help keep bad bugs and candida under control, so they are worth a go.
Thank you for sharing your experience. The probiotics that you mention are highly rated. As you say, give it a go.
I would recommend reading Dr Leon Chaitows book on Candida overgrowth - it was fantastic for me, I had horrendous Candida for many many years until I followed his wonderful advice. The doctors (in my experience) are not very good at dealing with Candida.
Best wishes
