Do you eat it on bread? Wheat is one of the highest forms of fructans aswell and onions and garlic, very well known to cause upset. Jam has fructose, another fodmap. Have you tried the low fodmap diet? Monash have a fodmap app which is amazing :) x

Greatly depends on the ingredients of the jam. Cheaper jams tend to have high fructose corn syrup and less natural ingredients like thickeners, colouring etc so try a more natural version before giving up on it completely. Good ginger jam might be an alternative but again check the ingredients.

Could be the high sugars that are causing your cramps and gas. That was my issue. I would say try to stay away from jams for awhile and anything high in sugar. See if that helps. If you can’t absolutely stay away from jams then try at least searching for a good quality low sugar jam. You can probably google for research on that. Or try making your own with fruits with low sugars like blueberries or figs or mix. Also try enzyme supplements when eating jams and see if that helps. One other thing is the type of breads you’re eating with these jams. Try an Ezekiel or sprouted type breads. That’s another thing that can help. If you don’t like peanut butter what about Almond butter or any other nut butter alternatives?

Strawberry Jam has started to trigger me, I'm finding sugars more and more triggering. I find I reduce something as it is triggering, but then it makes it more of a trigger and i really cant have it at all :(

It’s good if it’s homemade. I wouldn’t buy a store made jam due to the sugar content.
