Fodmap help please

I'm about to start the Fodmap diet and have bought the Monash app..I'm a little confused about food quantities and wondered if anyone on the diet could help. When it states the amount of a particular food allowed e.g. 75mg of carrot does this mean per meal or per day?.

Also I am vegetarian and if anyone could recommend a good veggie low fodmap cookery book I would be very grateful. Cheers.x

Per serving, it means you can have a few different 'greens serves' in that one meal. But not of that same food, eg: safe serving of beans, safe serving of gluten free bread, safe serving of cheddar, safe serving of fruit.

Have a 4 or 5 hour gap and it'll be time for

another serving :)

Search alittlebityummy in Google, lots of vegetarian recipes, even cakes! :)

I think it means per serving at any meal. I am 4 weeks in and find I can now eat a variety of veg in a salad, I make enough for two days. Sometimes I have the same vegetable twice in a day at different times and it doesn't seem to be a problem. I'm not a vegetarian but I do eat tofu, my best tip is garlic oil as recommended by the diet and fennel instead of onion as the base for a soup or casserole. I haven't been able to find a suitable low Fodmap stock though.
