So the biopsies of my colonoscopy have come back with Focal Active Colitis. I have not seen again the gastro consultant just yet as I am still down for a small bowel MRI, but I was wondering if anyone’s colonoscopy came back with this and how they treated it? I am still symptomatic with pain in right side of belly button and swollen area, llocalised back pain, every day, for about 6 months now.

Hi my 9 year old daughter has just had her results from her colonoscopy and also told she has focal active colitis and granulomas. Her MRI came back clear. Like you she gets a lot of pain in her right and side of belly. No treatment has been given!
Hi. Sorry to hear about your daughter, she is so young poor baby. I did not get granulomas, but this focal colitis is still a mystery. I have the MRI in March so hopefully will have a clearer answer then. Is your daughter still to have other investigations? Does the gastro suspect IBD?
