Oil of oregano?

Has anyone tried it before?

One of the suggestions is to put drops under your tongue, keep it there for a while than rinse and such. Now we’re not supposed to swallow it there and how is it gonna do any good at killing bacteria in small intestines then. What’s the point here that i can’t see. Is it that trace amounts (we may or may not ingest) that’ll do the job?

Has anyone tried to ingest one or two diluted drops with a cup of water? Now, because I’m asking this question within the ibs forum, i assume we all have somewhat sensitive and compromised digestive tracts. So just wondering if it’s really possible to resort to this heck of an oil? What’s your experience with it?

*considering that sibo is known to be common among ibs sufferers or a known possible cause for ibs as they say

Thank you

Hi, you can get oregano oil in capsules which are very good for calming flare- ups . I wouldn't bother with this drops under the tongue approach.

Hi Stuart, I see you've had success with oregano oil in the past. Can you suggest where to get them from? thanks. John

Hi John, I get them from Higher Nature. They work well for SIBO.

Wish i knew that before. But it turned out to be very disruptive for absorption for me. Let alone soothing. Tablet form would probably do the same.

Thank you
