Hi there,

There is no evidence to suggest that cannabis oil helps IBS symptoms.

If you do try, let me know if it helps with the pain. I can deal with everything else but the pain.

Transdermal Buprenorphine worked perfect for me. Drugs based on this are in clinical trials now but buprenorphine is proven with years of on market safety and is quite safe to use .

I think the jury’s still out on this but it does appear to have potential. Try searching for articles on ScienceDirect.

Hi there yes I’ve been taking it since last summer and I find it helps me! It helps with stress and anxiety which is a big part of IBS. I have the 10% strength. Hope this helps.

Which one do you take?

You'd need the type that helps with anxiety so from the indica leaf I think it's called

For those of you searching for help with IBS symptoms such as pain, have you spoken to your GP or gastroenterlogist about how to manage your symptoms? You can get a dietitian referral to take you through the fodmap elimination & reintroduction diet, there are drugs to help with pain (such as low dose Amitriptyline or Linaclotide for IBS-C and intestinal nerve pain), antispasmodics and so on. No one should be getting an IBS diagnosis and left to get on with it without help with managing the symptoms.

Never worked for me and Im a ardent consumer of all things weed. For me the only thing that helped is calorie restriction - one meal a day. attention to veg / grain ratio. - more veg than grain ,

Divorce , not trying to date after divorce, when it comes to the pain (my only constant symptom extreme pain from my colon) be was the transdermal buprenorphine patch. I could eat over 160 mg THC easily and still hurt the same amount of time but with a rather heavy buzz.

For most people buprenorphine does not impart a buzz (euphoria), and is the safest semisynthetic opiate to date. One company is already phase 3 trials of a IBS version of the buprenorphine molecule. Buprenorphine ONLY works for visceral pain if you have a neck ache it won't help a bit for that.

I tried it but it didn't agree with me. I'm not sure whether it would be strong enough to work. My daughter suffers with lupus and has tried lots of things and says the CBD oils you can buy on the open market are not strong enough to really make a difference to anything.

To make cbd effective at doses lower than about 500 mg orally you must vaporize it. Oral bioavailability of cbd is very very low. I only recommend getting 100 pure cbd crystal isolate and making up your own vape pen set up then you would truly know if cbd will help.

I've had IBS for more than 20 years. Much of the first 10 in remission on and off and most of the second ten years in constant pain every day without any damage apparent on all the expensive scans I paid for with no insurance.

No it does nothing I have tried everything going and nothing helps only Imodium I spent hundreds over the past 20 odd years

My state, Florida, has approved medical marijuana with some restrictions.

After my medical issues were gravely affecting my life. I explored extensively with my doctors and we settled on the use of peppermint teas and oils, soluble fiber, and medical marijuana. Regarding the marijuana, I agree with StomachPain, it helps with the stress and anxiety that comes with IBS. My ratio of CBD to THC is 1:4.

I hope you find some relief.
