Am I tasting bile or reflux?

Hey guys. Back with more enquiries about my mild but consistent issues. I've woken up today tasting something disgusting in my mouth which keeps returning. I remember this from around 2 years ago funnily enough and thought it was related to mouth hygiene as I had braces for the past 2 years and my gums are super sensitive but I had a successful dentist review yesterday who said "no issues. Just need to keep brushing diligently, your teeth are actually very good". The taste is almost phlegm ish but lots more gross, I want to say its bile as my parents say they smell it on me when I don't eat much. I had my first chocolate bar in weeks yesterday (stupid as I was so adamant about cutting it out) and suffered with a little acid reflux before bed. I had a very small portion of pasta around 6pm yesterday so not much food at all but it's so horrible, I also smell disgusting on my retainers - anyone else?
