Rice apparently is low fodmap so it seems rice cakes might be ok. However I worry about trying them incase they are probably full of air which might contribute to bloating. Any thoughts?

Rice cakes and bloating
I would be inclined to agree with you, but then I won't eat or drink anything that has gas/air/wind in it.
What on earth do you eat then, I would love to know as my main symptoms are chronic trapped wind?
I tend to eat, mainly, home made food, rather than bought pies etc. I just make sure that I only eat small mouthfuls and chew my food really well ( to reduce the amount of wind/gas that gets swallowed. I no longer drink anything fizzy, and don’t drink alcohol.
Hello, they are usually fine, just chew well and drink. Bloating is from trapped intestinal gas is caused by SIBO, and these will be poorly fermentable.
I have them as a last resort if I am out or in a hurry. Can only tolerate the plain ones. Spread peanut butter or hard cheese on them. Do not rely on them I think they do give me wind also. Chew well and keep calm. No more than 4
Can't tolerate rice cakes or corn cakes or any type of hard food like cereal or crisps. Severe IBS c trigger. Limits my diet as also can't tolerate dairy, eggs, any gluten or oats. Same with green beans, bananas, coconut, corn. Meat, tomatoes, citrus fruits triggers Acid reflux. Food is a challenge at the moment.
