Hi, I have been having an on going stomach issue which was recently diagnosed as IBS.I have constant sharp pain on the left side of my tummy which when i put on tight clothing like skirts and trousers tend to make me have a fainting spell and bad headaches so due to this i tend to pull and adjust my trousers alot which is very embarrasing so i tend to be discreet about it . Do it only when no one was looking especially when i am around the opposite sex but its so bad that due to the fact that i bend down a lot and stretch my hands which makes my undies to show a lot and i get a sort of lecherous look from the opposite sex which i cannot accuse them of and at times when i see them gaping i do tend to gain their attention by looking at them straight which doesn't work. Although,i have started putting on band trousers to work as against the jeans i used to and also a long and roomy dress as well. And what triggers the pain mostly is when i see or encounter something upsetting and (most of which i saw when i went back to work after a four year gap in employment) when i am very bloated.Has anyone experienced any thing related to this. I would like you to share how you dealt with it and also what to do. Thanks.

Initially to get rid of the painful bloating I use buscopan it's brilliant stuff. Long term you may need meberevine both of these drugs relax the bowel.
Stress is a major factor with ibs so trying to work with it in that situation is making things worse. You also need to sort out the bacteria balance in your gut. You can do this with the yogurt that promotes good gut health on its packaging, Activia is one I believe. Also avoid gassy drinks too many different vegetables on the same plate will bring on gas too. Take maberevinmeberevine an hour or so before food as eating kicks off the bowel grumbling etc. Sort your diet if needed( Food and drink) Your gut is unhappy and so is your bowel. Exercise is good and relaxation. Sometimes if your are in a stressful lifestyle you may have to make some big decisions and get your life to a happier place. That in itself will often be a cure. Good luck.
