I am new to this page, just experiencing unusual and new pains that are extremely painful and was after some advice if anyone has had the same and found something that has worked. I was diagnosed with IBS-C in 2016.
I am suffering pain on the lower left side of abdomen below the ribs and pain on my right side, stomach area. These pains come and go, and are sharp and nasty! Is this something to worry about? I do have doctors appt booked.
I have been increasing needing the toilet more for a wee, even going in the middle of the night and that's not like me!!
Thank You!!

I have had IBS for many years, both D and C! The last few years it’s been constipation. My pain changes a lot and it always alarms me. I go through phases of having pain in one place, then it changes to another. Sometimes it’s where you describe, other times it’s back pain, pelvic pain...
When I’m very constipated, my bladder is very irritable. I feel I need to pee all the time and it’s so annoying. I feel bloated too. I saw my GP a few times about it and I did get my ovaries scanned (precautionary) and bloods done. All fine. My GP knows me very well (poor woman 😂) and she can tell from palpating my abdomen, that I store quite a lot of poop before I can pass it. That would explain the back pain and pressure on my bladder.
The best thing you can do is combat that constipation - are you currently taking anything? It’s a good that you’re seeing the doctor also x
I am on Constella meds 290mg (which I believe that is the strongest that I can be on)
Yeah, I can get pain in my back also, the pains that I am having in the abdomen is nothing like I have ever had before, I usually don't get any pain! I seem to be the opposite at the moment, where I can's stop running back and forth to the toilet, and that's unusual for me, and I am still extremely bloated!! I look like I am pregnant all day everyday. Is there anything that you can recommend for bloating, as this is something I struggle with a lot! I have been on many meds for it and nothing seems to shift it, also been on the FODMAP diet.
