Hi, new to this site but not IBS - took 20 yrs to get a diagnosis! Was managing on a wheat free diet, but looking for help following a resurgence of symptoms. Bloated and distended etc. Any ideas??

Hi F,
Sorry to hear you are struggling. It is trial and error, but often wheat and dairy intolerance go together. Also, I find I have to limit sugar consumption or I get osmotic D which can be very severe, so it might be an idea to look at how much sugar you consume too. Other folks on here swear by the Fodmap diet, but this does take some doing and a specially trained dietitian would be a good idea if you go down that route. Have you tried keeping a food diary to see if you can work out your triggers? You can find simple templates on line which make it quite easy to do.
